Light The Night for Marshal

Last night was our Light the Night walk for our fight against leukemia & lymphoma in honor of my cousin Marshal, who we lost this past summer..In addition to raising loads of money for cancer research, it also brings help and hope to people battling blood cancers. Being surrounded by people who know and understand even tho we're all strangers, was really inspiring, encouraging and also comforting. We all carry illuminated, lit up balloons as we walked - white for survivors, red for supporters and our team carried gold in memory of Marshal.  Our team was amazing! We were a group that came together just for Marsh...Marshals's friends and his family, including my beautiful Aunt and cousin and the 20 of us raised *drumroll* $9,135!! Im so proud of every single person..We had to change our goal 8 times while we were fundraising because we just kept beating it every few days..the support from people who donated to us was overwhelming and just awesome!

My Mom, Madi and The Misters "Walking in Memory" stickers and balloons

Me, my Sister and our Mom.in our Marshal-shirts!

My fuzzy action shots...I didnt dare stop to take them as I would lose my group..there were hundreds and hundreds of people walking...it was wicked!

The final raised total last night was $410, 000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Besides that being an outstanidng amount of money, Marsh would have loved it..having all of us be together!!!...The family that couldnt make it kept in touch and offered support thru magical devices i.e: cell phones and we knew we were being thought about alot last night...and Marshal was there...definitly.
We're already ready for next year..

THANK YOU every single person who walked, raised, sponsored, encouraged or thought about us..We all deeply and sincerely appreciated it!

xoxo
